Last December, our rescue, http://www.bhra.org/ got a basset back from an abusive home where he had been adopted 6 months earlier. I had him revetted and got all the documentation together and prosecuted the woman, a teacher with great success. Jeffery suffered not only neglect but shows serious signs of physical abuse too. Jeffery has let us know with no problem that he wants to live with us for the rest of his life. Jeffery gets along so well with our other dogs and cats that he is now a part of our family.
